Disappointed

Today was meant to be like Christmas......but it wasn't. Monkey is far too loud, even for my ears let alone our little prince or princess'. Plus the blinding spots lights it is completely inappropriate.

On a good note however, our travel system has arrived. Easy to assemble, quite light and we are very happy with the colour. One slight issue with the canopy but apart from that, it's ready for our baby.

Monkey Island

The deer that are visiting our garden appear to have gone off roses. We are now getting some flowering with some buds on the way.

Whilst I'll be the first to admit they're not quite up to Grandad's standard, I'm nevertheless very pleased that the deer are giving them a chance and not eating them although they have turned their attention to digging up the front garden. (Great angle of the deer there Ursula!)

We are still on the lookout for names. Still not really any closer but Ursula has been given a cool book.

Finally, I've got monkey island on the way....for the baby. Looks like fun.

Are we ready?

We have finally managed to put together all the furniture we have recently bought for the baby. The second room, which is probably the largest bedroom out of the three we have, has been fitted out ready for the new addition to the family. The cot however will stay in our room for several months to come. A question was recently asked in our last NCT class as to how much space is required for the baby. Answer in our case: Our largest bedroom plus half the floor area in our current bedroom.

The photo to the left is me putting the cot up having painted the base.

The nursery now consists of the moses basket, wardrobe, chest of draws with changing tray and a little treasure chest. Ursula's two hospital bags sit on top of the treasure chest ready to go.

We still await our travel system which is due to arrive in the next 2 weeks. Baby is due in 2.5 weeks so this item is cutting it a bit fine.
So are we ready? Probably not but extremely excited and looking forward to welcoming our new little friend into the World.
